From Corporate to Country

Walking Away from a Career to Follow a Dream

Monday morning live with Natasa Denman featuring one of her two-time published authors, Suzanne Gomes.

Suzanne Gomes is a two-time author, business owner, coach and mentor. After a 25-year career at an iconic Australian company, reaching the successful title of an executive, she left it all behind for life in the country.

After her husband died at the age of 47 from leukemia, Suzanne published her first book From Wife to Widow. Which was about dealing with blood cancer, grief and life beyond. This then led her to write From Corporate to Country, and gives you an insight into her career from call centre consultant, to an inspirational leader.

In her book, Suzanne also tells the ups and down of corporate life in a male-dominated world, to living by herself on 35 acres and the dream of building and operating an accommodation business, Coolabine Retreat, in the Sunshine Coast Hinterlands in Queensland.

3 Key Take aways:
- If someone believes in your talent, then you need to believe in it too
- Speak up when you're not being heard
- Be true to yourself and follow your passion – you're never too old to start
